The company started activity in 1953, in name of Tama Biochemical Institute to research and develop the extraction technology of Chlorophyll. It was right after the discovery of the double-helix structure of DNA that spurred the field of biochemistry. This chlorophyll, a key media of photosynthesis as an important biological metabolism, became our initial successful product as raw material for pharmaceuticals and coloring agent in foods.

Since then, we have been focusing the extraction technology of physiologically active ingredients from plants since our establishment. Now we believe that our products could contribute and support to improve people's health. In view of the fact that health care products are more demanding in aging and stressful society in the world, we have recognized again that we have to execute our corporate mission and raison d'etre. Therefore, we will dedicate ourselves to make further improvement of our technology to contribute to human health.
